After a January full of mild weather, old man winter decided to make an appearance. Yesterday I was out picking up a few things for the house when I heard extremely loud thunder from inside the store. When I looked out the window, snow was falling fast and furious.
I immediately called Matt and asked him to take Katie over to the window to see the snow. I have a feeling it might be the only glimpse of snow she will get all winter. Sadly, the snow only lasted about 30 minutes and we barely got enough to cover the ground (if that).
Despite the limited snowfall, Katie had a great time playing in the front yard - throwing snow balls and making snow angels. After about 30 minutes of playing in the white stuff - I was able to coax her back inside with the promise of hot chocolate and a "fun project" - AKA - Valentine's Day cupcakes.
