Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny didn't visit our house this year.  Instead he visited Nana and Papa's house.  Which is good, because that's where we were staying.  And Katie would have been seriously disappointed if Mr. Easter Bunny didn't arrive.  Old CottonTail even left a trail of candy from Katie's bedroom all the way to her Easter Basket.....just to be sure she could find the goods.  Things were going well in the video below until she saw a stick bug on her basket and she FREAKED OUT!  Yeah - She is terrified of bugs.

After the excitement of candy and new toys wore off, we had some breakfast and got ready for church.  Unfortunately, the weather wasn't as nice Sunday as the previous day (rainy), but we managed to squeeze in a few pictures.  As you can tell from my expression -- getting a 3 year old to sit for pictures is ridiculously annoying some days.  Not exactly the Kodak moment I had hoped for.

It was so nice to be in Woolwine this weekend.  Katie loves playing in the creek, feeding Maddie, and running in the wide open spaces.  She even tried to convince Matt and I to let her bring this huge toad home with her as a pet.  She was absolutely begging, "Please mommy.  Can I keep him?"  Go figure, she is TERRIFIED of bugs, yet will pick up a nasty, muddy toad without a second thought.
