When I Grow Up

Each night at dinner, we do Roses and Thorns.  Everyone at the table takes a turn talking about the good parts of their day (the Roses) and the bad parts (the Thorns).  As we were finishing up Roses and Thorns tonight Katie changed the subject a bit.  She said, "Do you know all the things I get to do when I grow up Mommy and Daddy?"  We said, "No what types of things do you get to do when you grow up?"

Her Response:  "I get to drive a car, make dinner by myself, ride a big girl scooter, and big girl bike."

At this point I was thinking to myself -- oh, how very perceptive.  But then the 3 year old kicked in.

Katie's Next Comment:  "And I also get to make a lasso and rope things....and buy a cow to keep at my house."

All I could say was -- sure you can (and try not to laugh).  Yep - that was our dinner time conversation this evening.  Good stuff.
